There has been a lot of recent posts of what to do around certain times of year. I do have a What's On newsletter which I send out monthly as I monitor what is going on but I thought I would make a list here but I will not create dates for (that is way too much for me to update) but I will give you general idea and the link to find more information. I thought it would be best to put in one place!
See the Queen and other family members at Sandringham Estate on their way to church every Sunday- She stays usually after the anniversary of her fathers death in February. You can see her walk to church every Sunday. Less busy than Christmas and you cannot take pictures (pictures only allowed on Christmas). Less busy and more intimate this time.
Public Observating at the Institute of Astronomy at the University of Cambridge- It is free and runs on Wednesdays from October to March.
24 December- The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols- Cambridge- free but you must wait in line before 8.30 a.m. to get in. Not for children under 8 as it is broadcasted around the world.
25 December- See the Queen on Christmas- Sandringham Church- only day you can take pictures but very busy!
See the Horsey Seals breeding- don't go too close- late October to late February
London New Year's Eve fireworks- need tickets to be in the area near the Eye but there are other places that you can see them. But of course the best view is from the ticketed area.
