A lot of people find the English to be rude, but they are by nature quite reserved. However, once you make an English friend, they are a friend for life. The English are not as open as Americans, but if you keep this in mind, you will not get as frustrated as you could.
“We have a common language that divides us” wrote Bernard Shaw. Things are not done in England as they are in the States, so have patience, be flexible and enjoy the ride.
