Venice

Venice is not very far from the Aviano area so that may be a good place to look to stay if you are visiting the area.

Wander the city

Picture
Venice is so tiny that one of the best ways to see it is is to wander its tiny streets and take it all in.

St Mark's Bascillica

Picture
This church began to be built in 1063. It was commissioned by the Doge Domenico Contarini. It has been altered over the years.

Ride on a Gondola

Picture
One iconic thing to do is go punting in Venice. It is quite expensive €35-70 for six people. Not cheap but supposed to be worth it!

Palazzo Ducale

Picture
Palazzo Ducale appeared in the movie Casanova. It was built in the 15th century and is a Gothic building but has a lot of Eastern influences.

It is a museum with a variety of collections.
